Getting started

How to reach us

Tell us what the door is doing and roughly where you are - that is enough to know whether it is a same-visit fix or something that needs a part ordered first.

  1. 1

Call and tell us what it’s doing

    (949) 882-9898 - describe the symptom and roughly where you are.

  2. 2

    Or send it in writing

Use the quote request form if it’s easier than talking - same information, same day’s queue.

  3. 3

    We diagnose on site

A technician tests the door under power and by hand before anything is quoted or replaced.

  4. 4

    You approve the plan

You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it - the work starts only after that.

Contacting Us

Call (949) 882-9898 and you'll talk to someone who can get a truck moving toward your address the same day for most jobs. We're located at 34118 Pacific Coast Hwy, Dana Point, CA 92629, right along the coast route that runs through town. If you'd rather come by, that's fine, but most people just call - a phone call lets us ask what the door is doing (won't open, sags on one side, makes a bang when it drops) and figure out what to bring before we leave the shop.

After you call, we ask for the make of your opener if you know it and roughly how old the door is. Given how much of the housing stock around here dates to the 1980s and 90s, a lot of doors we see are original to the house, which changes what we bring on the truck. If you don't know the age, that's normal - we can usually tell once we're standing in front of it.

We serve Dana Point itself along with San Juan Capistrano, Capistrano Beach, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Beach, Rancho Mission Viejo, Las Flores, Laguna Hills, Rancho San Clemente, Laguna Woods, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon, and Silverado. If you're outside that range, call anyway and ask - we'll tell you straight if it's too far.

Work We Turn Down

We don't do new construction framing or structural work on the garage opening itself - if the header or jamb needs rebuilding, that's a job for a general contractor, not a garage door outfit. We also won't sell you a full door replacement when a spring, cable, or roller repair will get you another decade out of the existing door. A lot of the housing in this area was built between 1938 and 2015, with plenty from the 1980s and 90s, and those older doors are often still solid steel or wood underneath - replacing the whole thing is sometimes the wrong call and we'll say so.

We don't carry every part for every opener brand on the truck, especially discontinued models from houses built decades ago. If yours needs a part we have to order, we'll tell you that up front instead of pretending we can fix it on the first visit.

One more limit worth naming: we don't do same-day emergency work outside a normal service radius. If you're calling from well past our listed towns, we'd rather point you elsewhere than show up hours late.

Who Turns Up

Someone who works on doors and openers, not sales. The person who answers the phone is often the same person figuring out the repair, and the person who shows up at your door is who does the work - not a dispatcher reading a script and a separate crew you never talk to.

The mild coastal climate here means we're not fighting the freeze-thaw cracking or heavy snow-load failures that push repair volume elsewhere; what we see more of is UV and salt air wearing on hardware and finishes over years, plus the ordinary spring and cable fatigue that comes with age on a door regardless of weather. Given the median household income in the service area sits well above $150,000, we also see a fair number of owners who'd rather pay once for the right part than patch something twice - we bring both options and let you choose.

We don't wear uniforms with a company history stitched on the back or hand out a laminated bio. What you get is a straight answer about what's wrong with the door, what it costs to fix it, and whether fixing it is even the better move.

Door stuck open or won’t close?

A garage door that won’t close leaves your home open. Tell us what’s happening and we’ll help you figure out the fastest way to get it secured.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers about garage door repair in Dana Point. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

How old is a typical garage door in Dana Point?

The median house in this service area was built in 1982, and most of the stock across town's ten named areas dates to the 1980s and 90s. That means a large share of driveways still have original torsion hardware and openers pushing thirty-five to forty years old, which is why spring and opener-board failures are the most common calls we get.

Do you only work in Dana Point itself?

No. We cover Dana Point and the surrounding area, including San Juan Capistrano, Capistrano Beach, Rancho San Clemente, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Rancho Mission Viejo, Las Flores, Laguna Woods, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon, and Silverado. Distance affects how fast we can get to you, not whether we'll take the call.

Can you quote a spring repair over the phone?

Not accurately. Spring size and tension depend on the exact weight and dimensions of your door, and guessing from a phone description risks the wrong part going in. We measure on site first, then give you a firm number before starting the work.

My door is an odd size - can you match it?

If it's a custom width from a builder that's no longer around, we don't fabricate a panel in the shop. We can order a matching size through a supplier, but that's a special order and takes longer than a stock repair - we'll tell you that timeline up front.
